List of Places Require Proof of Vaccine Certificate

The government has started to require visitors to public places to prove the Covid-19 vaccination.

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin said this policy was a trial measure given the Covid-19 pandemic which was expected to last a long time.

"So the President's direction, we must have a roadmap, what if there really is a virus, this will take years," said Budi, during a virtual press conference via the Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs YouTube.

Only those who have been vaccinated are allowed to enter or access public places.

The following is a list of public places that require visitors to prove proof of Covid-19 vaccination:

Mandatory Vaccination

Trials for the mandatory application of the vaccine are scheduled to begin next week.

"Under the direction of the Coordinating Minister, we will immediately implement a field project that will digitally regulate the implementation of health protocols in 6 main activities," explained Budi.

The 6 main activities in question include:

  1. Trade, whether traditional such as wet markets or grocery stores, or modern such as malls or department stores
  2. Office and industrial area
  3. Transportation, both land, sea and air
  4. Tourism, hotel, restaurant or event
  5. religious event
  6. education

The government requires proof of vaccination for those who carry out activities in these 6 sectors.

Mechanism

This proof of vaccination will later use the Pedulilindungi application and website or carelindungi.id.

"Every time we check in, we will immediately know the vaccination status and PCR status digitally, yes automatically," said Budi.

As a first step, next week the government plans to plan to prove vaccination in several malls, and protect it with the Indonesian Mall Association.

Visitors who will enter or operate in public places must go through a screening process that will determine whether they have been vaccinated or not.

"If the person concerned has been vaccinated, he will enter and will get a looser agreement than those who have not been vaccinated," explained Budi.

Applicable Area

In this trial of the mandatory vaccine policy in public places, the government only implemented it in a few cities.

"The trial opening of this shopping center will be carried out in the cities of Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Semarang with a capacity of 25 percent next week with strict health protocols," said Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

Children under 12 years old and parents over 70 years old are prohibited from entering the mall/temporary development center.
